Designed for manufacturing, R&D, QA and service center applications. The instrument is lightweight, portable and may be operated from all standard AC supplies. RF tests should be completed under an adequately RF isolated condition with reliable RF coupling. A simple isolation box that disregards internal resonance and shielding qualification will result in unreliable RF test data. All TESCOM isolation boxes are designed to minimize this problem. In practice, OTA coupling over a wide frequency band displays some level of Frequency slope due to antenna bandwidth or cable connector reflections. This channel-dependent residual slop may need calibration to guarantee the accuracy of TX power measurement. TEM Cell (TC-5060B, TC-5062A) TEM Cell is a broadband radiation test cell that provides both high isolation and predictable RF coupling. The total coupling loss through typical DUT antenna to TEM Cell output is around 30dB DAB/DMB frequencies. With the additiona filtered data port and power lines, the desktop-size TESCOM TEM Cell offers an ideal radiation test platform for small RF devices, such as DAB/DMB devices. Shield Box (TC-5915A, TC-5980A) TESCOM's popular absorber-lined Shield Boxes are widely used for RF test fixtures in R&D, service or manufacturing worldwide. These manual or pneumatic boxes with device fixtures can handle many different types of devices, such as PC assemblies, RF modules or final products. Various RF signal connection methods, such as probe heads, OTA couplers or special connectors, can also be supplied by TESCOM. Most units also include the pneumatic operation option, which relieves operator fatigue in manufacturing. High isolation and the absence of in-band resonance in every TESCOM boxes improve test repeatability. RF sensitivity Test using Audio Analyzer Typical test setup for manufacturing application is shown below. This setup enables to test several DUTs simultaneously. TC-2300A sends RF signal with an internally generated single frequency tone to DUT via the TC-94006A Distributor. The RF signal from TC-2300A DAB/DMB Tester is distributed to DUTs equally. TC-94006A Distributor receives the tone signals produced by the earphone of DUTs. Tone from DUTs are multiplexed and sent to TC-2300A for individual SINAD or THD tests. The sensitivity of DUTs can be measured by decreasing the RF output level of TC-2300A. Video and Audio test using External Data Source TC-2300A provides built-in 512Mbyte memory and high speed data port that enable to use the external Video/Audio Data Source. It is available to send the data after connecting TC-2300A and PC by Data Cable and saving Video/Audio Data by builty-in memory of TC-2300A, or withut saving the data. BER Test using Fixed data pattern TC-2300A provides Stream mode data channel in order to test BER (Bit Error Rate). BER is another way to determine the sensitivity of the DUT.
